Utun is designed to be a personal pregnancy companion. We collect the following types of information:

Personal Data: Name and Estimated Due Date (HPL) provided during onboarding.
Health Data: Mood journals, weight tracking data, kick counter records, and contraction timer logs.
Usage Data: Data about how you interact with the app to help us improve the user experience.

Most of the sensitive health and journaling data is stored locally on your device using a local database (Room Database) to ensure your ultimate privacy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect or receive to:

Provide the core features of the app (e.g., calculating pregnancy weeks, displaying relevant baby development info).
Allow you to track your health and activities securely.
Improve our app performance and design.

3. Third-Party Services (AdMob, Facebook, & TikTok)

We use third-party services in Utun, including Google AdMob, the Facebook SDK, and the TikTok SDK.

Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use information like your Advertising ID and IP address to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. You can learn more at the Google Ads Privacy Policy.
Facebook SDK: Used for analytics, ad targeting, and improving app performance. The Facebook SDK may collect data such as app events, device information, and IP addresses. For more information on what data Facebook collects and how it is used, please review the Meta Privacy Policy.

4. Will Your Information Be Shared?

Beyond the data collected by third-party services (like AdMob, Facebook, and TikTok) for advertising and analytics purposes, we only share your information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations. Because your health data is stored locally, we do not have access to it on our servers and do not share it with third-party advertisers.

5. Data Retention Policy

We retain your personal and health data only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy. Because your sensitive health and journaling data is stored locally on your device, we do not store this data on our servers. The locally stored data is retained as long as the Utun app remains installed on your device. Information collected by third-party services like AdMob is retained in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

6. Data Deletion Process

We give you complete control over your personal data. Because your health data and personal entries are stored strictly locally on your device and are never sent to or stored on our servers, we do not have a process for you to submit a data deletion request to us.

To delete all of your data, you simply need to uninstall the Utun app or clear the app's data from your device settings. Once done, your data is permanently removed from your device.
